Outdoor Living FAQs

This is a stamped concrete patio and hardscape design which is part of a larger outdoor living project. Included in the project is an outdoor kitchen design, a sunroom addition, and a hardscape retaining wall design.

While you can always work on an outdoor project in your own time, typically we recommend hiring an outdoor contractor. Especially when it comes to an outdoor kitchen or deck build, it is best to leave it to the contractor to ensure the best quality for your home. You also won’t have to spend as much time, and in the long run it can save you money (especially if you are not skilled in these projects).

You can read the long version in our blog post, but yes! Adding an outdoor kitchen, addition, or remodel to your home can increase its value. Outdoor kitchens are highly requested in Lancaster County, especially to use in all seasons.

Outdoor kitchens are one of the best ways to add value to the exterior of your home. You can also build (or repair) a deck, improve your patio space, establish hardscape, and more.

If you have any concerns about the life in your deck, consult a professional deck builder. They will be able to show you where you deck needs to be repaired to ensure your safety while using the deck.

Additions FAQs

These glass sliding doors lead to the sunroom addition for the Trimbles in Lancaster, PA. The stamped concrete was additional hardscape work completed by ALL Renovation & Design.
That depends on what you want for your home. An extra bathroom is good for if 4 or more people live in your home. It’s also beneficial to add a bathroom into any guest or master bedrooms in your home.
Additions will almost always cost more than remodeling. This is because we are adding a new space onto your homes. You would need to consider that an addition includes permits, additional land space required, electrical, plumbing, etc. Price range can vary from $100,000 - $500,000 depending on what you would like done. This will also require more time than a typical remodel, meaning 6-12 months (generally). That includes design time all the way up to your final walkthrough.
Typically it is best to start building your addition during warmer months as you may need to break into the ground and do a lot of outdoor work for your project. We recommend reaching out to us as soon as you know you would like to have an addition done to your home.
